The Meizu 17 and 17 Pro are now official !
The Meizu 17 and 17 pro have just been officially unveiled in China after a long count of more than 2 weeks. The manufacturer has unveiled two high-end devices launched from 480€ in its smallest configuration and up to 620€ for the most powerful.
Design
The manufacturer is making a fresh start with the 17-series, exit the small format, the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro are equipped with a large 6.6-inch Super Amoled display at the 19.5:9 ratio. This one has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and is HDR10 compatible. The 20MP front-facing camera fits into the status bar within a 2.99mmmini punch hole. This is relatively small compared to the 4.08mm Xiaomi Mi10 punch hole We particularly appreciate the fact that Meizu retains the will to offer a balanced design always close to symmetry.
On the back, the 17 Pro stands out with its ceramic body, matte colors and golden effects. It is available in Azur, white ebony, Dream Unicorn, and black. The 17 has more classic colors such as emerald, black and Dream unicorn. The Meizu 17 and 17 Pro weigh 199 and 219g respectively and are 8.5mm thick.
Performance, camera and Connectivity
The 17-series is powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor and its 5G modem, it incorporates 6 to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage depending on the configuration. The main photo sensor on both versions is a 64MP module from Sony (IMX686). On the 17 Pro, it is combined with a 129-degree wide-angle 32MP sensor (IMX616) and a ToF 3D (S5K33D) sensor. The 17 is supported by a wide-angle sensor of 8MP and 5MP.
At the multimedia level, we appreciate the presence of real stero speaker,Meizu ensures a 30% gain in power compared to the previous generation. The haptic engine passes in its 3rd generation. This model runs on Flyme 8.1 based on Android 10
Meizu announced against all odds the arrival of Android 10 for the following models: 16T – 16s Pro – 16s – 16th/Plus – 16Xs – Note9 – X8 -Note 8 – 16X; However, we do not have any news of a global version.
A 4500 mAh battery is integrated on both models, they are compatible with a 30W fast charging, the 17 Pro is compatible with a 27W wireless charging. The 17 Series is Wi-Fi 6, NFC 5G and Bluetooth 5.1
