Meizu 21 series will have a global version

Meizu Geely

3 years after its withdrawal from foreign countries to focus on its domestic market. Meizu intends to return with the Meizu 21 series.

The information was distilled at the beginning of the year by technical director Jerry Long who in a post on Weibo indicated that the brand would be back in the 3rd quarter in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. This information seems to be confirmed since our comrades from GsmChina spotted the variants of the Meizu 21 in the GSMA IMEI certification database.

The above captures mention the 2 variants of Meizu 21 Pro:

  •  M481Q (China)
  •  M481S (?)

And 3 variants for the standard version:

  • M461Q (China)
  • M461H (Global)
  • M461S (?)

Historically, the letter Q is reserved for models for the Chinese market and the letter H for global markets. This confirms that an international version is being certified.

Asked by us, Meizu confirmed the current development of a first model for global markets with an estimated release date in December, without giving us any details on how this return would take place.

The Meizu 21 series should be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and benefit from camera and screen improvements. Nevertheless the appearance should retain the features of the current generation.
