For several days, Chinese press has been agitating about the snippets of information around the Meizu 18. And for good reason, the manufacturer’s next flagship has just passed 3C certifications in China, presaging a near launch.

10 months after the release of the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro, which marked a turning point in the manufacturer’s strategy, his successor is finally coming to the fore. Under model numbers M181Q and M191Q the Meizu 18 and 18 Pro appeared in the Chinese regulatory organism.

The certification report mentions 2 5G devices supporting fast charging of 40 and 36W. On the other hand, Meizu would choose to no longer provide wall charger in the box. According to additional information, the devices would be powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor, the Snapdragon 888 and have a 4500mAh battery.

Last year, MEIZU made the choice to release only 2 models at a fairly high price point but the recent release of the Snapdragon 870 may give hope for the release of a 3rd model with a lighter configuration and more affordable price.
